All Pets in the Omaha Metro Areas of Omaha, Bellevue, Papillion, LaVista,
Ralston, Gretna and Unincorporated Sarpy County need to be licensed by March
15th to avoid late penalties.

Licensing can be done in person at the Nebraska Humane Society located at
8929 Fort Street.  Their hours of operations:

Mondays through Fridays from 8am to 7pm
Saturdays from 10am to 4pm
Sundays from Noon to 4pm

Licensing your pet can be done on line by going to the Humane Society website
and clicking on the link on that page marked “Licensing your pet” or simply click
on the link provided here and select which city you live in.
Licensing your pet  
We have pet licensing applications here at the hospital upon request but we do
not license your pet at our facility.  All licensing will be done through the
Nebraska Humane Society.

You will need a valid rabies shot and also a rabies certificate at the time of
licensing your pet. You will receive a rabies certificate at the time of the vaccine
appointment or you can request a copy from us if you need one at a later time.

Please call early for your appointment to schedule an appropriate time to see
your pet.
